Your night adventure begins at 6 p.m. and groups should eat supper before arriving at the zoo. The program includes:

• Twilight excursions
• Night explorations
• Exciting games and activities
• Small animal visit
• Unique morning encounter
• Lots of fun!

Your program ends at 9:30 a.m. the next day, but you are encouraged to spend the day discovering the rest of the zoo.

Zoo admission is included in your Bedtime fee.

Bedtime with the Beasts is an educational overnight adventure designed for organized church, school, scout or youth groups. For information on the zoo's Scout Program, please click here.

Age: The program is for ages 6 and up only.

Size: Two adult chaperones are required for every 15 participants. All people who attend the Bedtime program must pay a $35 fee.

• Bedtime capacity is 25 people.
• Groups may be combined with other groups.
• Groups smaller than 15 people may register, but they will be charged the minimum fee for 15 people ($525).
• If you wish to reserve a Bedtime facility exclusively for your group, you will be charged the minimum fee for 25 participants ($875).
• If your group is larger than 25 people, it is possible, on some dates, to reserve two separate Bedtime programs on the same night.

Each group is led by 2 experienced instructors. With advance notice, the instructors will work to tailor the program to your needs. The Bedtime program has 19 instructors with a variety of backgrounds and skills. We employ men and women as instructors. Staff have participated in the Boy Scouts of America Youth Protection Training program. Most are certified in First Aid and all levels of CPR.

There are two separate facilities available for Bedtimes. Instructors sleep in the same area with the group. Groups and instructors sleep on a carpeted floor in a heated/air conditioned building. Bathrooms are located in a separate building nearby. There are no showers. You must bring your own sleeping gear.

Cost for the 2006 Bedtime season is $35 per person.

You must send one check payable to Knoxville Zoo for the correct balance (less the $60 deposit) two weeks before the date of your Bedtime.

All Bedtime fees are not refundable nor transferable unless the program is canceled by Knoxville Zoo.

• Late night snack and light breakfast
• Bedtime souvenir sport bottle and name sticker

Bedtime with the Beasts patches and lights are available for $2 each. Please bring the exact amount, or include the cost in your check for the Bedtime fees.

Dates are reserved upon receipt of the Reservation Form and deposit on a space-available basis. If your first choice is not available, your second, then third date choice will be confirmed via a Confirmation Card. You will also receive more details 4 weeks before your Bedtime date.

If all dates are filled, we will contact you with available dates.
